Bishkek's History

It is the capital and the largest city of Kyrgyzstan. It has a population of about 1 million and it covers approx. 169.9 km 2 It is located in the Chu river valley near the Kyrgyz mountains at an elevation of approx3000 feet.

The climate in Bishkek is of cold and temperate type. It mostly experiences rain in winter while comparatively less rain in summer. The average annual temperature is 10.4 °C.

It has a very economic cost of living. It ranks 354th out of 379 cities in the world on the cost-of-living index. The economy in Bishkek is primarily depended upon the Agriculture and Agricultural products.

The locals are famous for their hospitality and friendly nature towards foreigners. It is regarded as one of the greenest cities in Central Asia. It is famous for Oak park, Erkindik Boulevard, and Panfilov Park among tourists as the summer destination. The primary language spoken by natives is Russian but gradually English is also getting popular among the natives. The official currency used in Bishkek is SOM (The official currency of Kyrgyzstan)
